These unique magnetic periodic element boards are ideal for displaying our element tiles but also as a fridge magnet board that you can display on any metallic surface. Our new version is a vehicle grade magnetic material. Its an amazing colorful visual expression of the table of elements. We based it on the JMOL color scheme.( JMOL is an open source 3D chemical molecular modelling software that is widely used in education and research.
Alkali metals are purple, alkali earths are green, nobles are aqua, and the shading deepens as you descend the table. The transition metals are often colored to match the color of the bulk metal or colors of common oxidation states (e.g. Ni). The CPK model-kit standard colors are preserved, and the f-groups also make sense to smoothly change across the table.
The boards come in 2 sizes that are designed to fit our Small and Large Periodic Element Tiles. The small board is 297mm x 420mm in size. The Large board is comprised of 2 x (297mm x 420mm) magnets to make one large display.
